What the numbers mean
Download — how fast data comes to you. Drives streaming, downloads and page loads.
Upload — how fast data goes from you. Matters for video calls, backups and posting files.
Latency (ping) — the round-trip delay. Low is better; under ~30 ms feels instant, over ~100 ms drags in games and calls.
Jitter — how much that delay wobbles. High jitter is what actually wrecks calls and streams, even on a "fast" line.

Is this an accurate speed test?
It measures real download, upload, latency and jitter against Cloudflare's global edge, so results reflect your actual connection. Wi-Fi, VPNs and a busy line can lower numbers, so run it a couple of times.
Why is my speed lower than what I pay for?
Wi-Fi, an old router, VPNs, peak-hour congestion or other devices using the line all reduce the speed you actually see. Test over a wired connection with nothing else running to get closest to your plan's rated speed.
What is a good latency and jitter?
Latency under about 30 ms feels instant and over 100 ms drags in calls and games. Jitter (how much that delay wobbles) should be low and steady; high jitter is what actually breaks video calls and streams.
Is this free and private?
Yes. It's free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser against Cloudflare's public backend. Nothing touches Acutis servers and no results are stored.
