Health check › Active Directory
Connected
Check id ad.connected
What it checks
Whether this Gate is connected to your Active Directory domain. Windows sign-in, groups from AD and file shares all depend on it.
What you might see
| Check | Active Directory is not connected: people sign in with email and an authenticator. | Gate works, without the AD features. |
| OK | Connected to CORP.EXAMPLE as acutisgate$ (domain CORP). | Fine. |
| Skipped | This Gate has no Kerberos libraries (the cloud edition). | Hosted Gate does not connect to AD; use an on-prem edition. |
How to fix it
- Open Identity → Active Directory.
- Windows Server: the card arrives "Ready to connect" with the domain and the service account filled in: click Connect and confirm with your authenticator. No password is needed; Windows manages the account.
- Linux appliance: enter the domain, the
gate-svcaccount and its password once, then Connect. - Then Sync now and run the Health check again.
Command line
# Does the service account exist? Get-ADServiceAccount acutisgate # Windows Server edition (gMSA) Get-ADUser gate-svc # Linux appliance
