Check id files.sysvol
What it checks
Gate learns each person's mapped drives from your Group Policy drive maps, which live in SYSVOL on the domain controllers. This checks Gate could read them.
What you might see
| Problem | SYSVOL could not be read: ... | Gate cannot see your drive maps, so it cannot tell which drives each person has. |
| OK | SYSVOL policy access is working. | Fine. |
How to fix it
- On the Gate server (Windows edition), open
\\corp.example\SYSVOLin File Explorer: it should list your domain's Policies folder. - Check DNS resolves the domain name and port 445 is open from Gate to the domain controllers.
Command line
Test-NetConnection dc1.corp.example -Port 445 # Windows nc -vz dc1.corp.example 445 # Linux
