Health check › Person
Share (each mapped drive)
Check id p.files.*
What it checks
For each drive Group Policy maps for this person, asks your rules and then Windows itself, by listing the top of the share as them (names are not returned, only allowed or refused). Recorded in the audit trail.
What you might see
| Info | Guardrails: denied (...). Gate will not open this share for them (Windows was not asked). | Your rules exclude it. |
| Info | Guardrails: allowed. Windows: refuses CORP\lchen (exactly as on their own PC). | NTFS or share rights say no. Expected for many shares. |
| Problem | Guardrails: allowed. But Gate could not open it as CORP\lchen: ... | A setup problem, not a permission. |
| OK | Guardrails: allowed. Windows: allows CORP\lchen to open it (2 hidden). | Fine; hidden = items they cannot open, kept from the AI. |
How to fix it
- A failure here is almost always File shares: delegation in Run all checks: fix that first.
- Also check the file server name resolves from Gate and port 445 is open.
- To see the person's real rights: on the file server, folder → Properties → Security → Advanced → Effective Access.
Command line
Test-NetConnection fs1.corp.example -Port 445
