Audit chain
Check id gate.audit
What it checks
Every audit row carries a hash of the row before it. The check recomputes the whole chain, so a row that was edited or deleted in the database (by anyone, outside Gate) shows up as a break.
What you might see
| OK | Audit chain intact: 18,204 rows, every row's hash checks out. | Nothing was changed. |
| Problem | Audit chain broken at row #5512: hash mismatch. | Someone or something changed or removed audit rows directly in the database. |
How to fix it
Treat a break as a security event, not a glitch.
- Open Audit trail → Export and keep the file somewhere safe: it is your evidence as of now.
- Open Audit trail → Verify chain to see the first row that no longer matches.
- Check who has direct access to Gate's database and server, and your SIEM copy of the same rows (streamed rows are not affected by later edits in Gate).
- Contact Acutis at support@acutisgo.com. Do not try to "repair" the chain.
