Google Workspace sign-in¶
For organizations on Google Workspace, on Hosted Gate. People sign in with the Google account they already have; Google enforces their two-step verification.
Turn it on¶
- Sign in at app.acutisgo.com/gate as a Gate admin.
- Identity → Google Workspace.
- Workspace domain: your primary domain, for example
brightline.example. - Tick Enable for my organization.
- Also allow local sign-in: keep it ticked while you test, so your own email and password still work. Untick it later to make Google the only way in.
- Save. The card says connected · brightline.example.
What people see¶
They open app.acutisgo.com/gate and press Sign in with Google. The first time, Gate creates their account (as a Person, not an admin) in your organization. Only accounts Google has verified for your domain get in; personal Gmail addresses do not join your organization.
Admins¶
Your own account stays the admin. To add another admin, use Identity → People with the role Gate admin (People you add in Gate). Keep at least two admins.
People leaving¶
Suspend or delete them in the Google Admin console: Gate refuses their next Google sign-in. Their audit history stays.
Groups¶
Google sign-in brings the person, not their Google Groups. For group-based guardrails, add memberships under Groups in Gate (for example group:Finance).
On-prem editions¶
On Windows Server, Linux and Mac, use Active Directory with Windows sign-in, plus People you add in Gate for anyone outside it. The Google card shows "not set up on this server" there.
